Walter H. Phipps provides a detailed description of Thomas Military Tractor.  I believe this is the model which was later called T-2.  T-2 was designed by Benjamin D. Thomas  who also designed the famous Curtiss JN-4 “Jenny”.  Benjamin D. Thomas was no relation of Thomas brothers who started the Thomas Brothers Aeroplane Company which manufactured T2.  The company was later called Thomas-Morse Aircraft Corporation after it merged with Frank L.  Morse who headed Morse Chain Company of Ithaca, NY.
